Frames are so easy to create using Photoshop layer styles. There are all kinds of free ones available, including ones from the Photoshop Exchange on Adobe.com. Create a layer in Photoshop; outline the layer using Edit > Stroke and whatever width you want the frame to be (I also have it stroke “inside”). Then just apply a style from the Styles palette (typically in the same palette group as “Colors” and “Swatches” … you can even use styles created for text. The frames below were done at a resolution of 1024×768 or at a 5:4 ratio.
